Biographies

Katherine R. Hendler  

After more than three years serving the government as chambers law clerk for the Honorable Sam A. Lindsay, United States District Judge, Northern District of Texas, Ms. Hendler returned to private practice by joining LWS as a senior associate in 2010.  Born and raised in Dallas, she earned her bachelor’s degree with honors at Northwestern University and her law degree at New York University School of Law.  Upon graduating from law school in 2001, Ms. Hendler clerked for the Honorable Jorge A. Solis, United States District Judge, Northern District of Texas.  After completing her clerkship, she began her litigation career in the Washington, D.C. office of the international law firm of Arnold & Porter LLP.  In 2004, Ms. Hendler sought a return to Texas and joined the Dallas office of Fish & Richardson, P.C., where she worked until entering government service in 2007.

In addition to assisting in the drafting of numerous federal judicial opinions, Ms. Hendler has been an integral part of trial teams representing clients from a wide array of industries, including banking, accounting, and filmmaking, who have sued or been sued for contract breaches, RICO violations, breaches of fiduciary duty, defamation, medical malpractice and other claims.
